  • Account Manager

  • As an Account Manager, you will take ownership of multiple projects under the supervision of a Project Director. Your involvement will start at client contract signature and continue beyond project delivery. You will be the key contact for our clients and coordinate with a team of designers and developers to help us produce cutting-edge digital solutions.

    As a vital part of the team, you’ll be no stranger to taking initiative and you’ll be keen to develop an understanding of the business and the projects you work on. It’s essential that you have previous experience in a commercial environment and that you are confident in managing projects from beginning to end cost-efficiently and with strong client management skills. As a daily interface between the company and its clients you will also be expected to confidently support new business, identify new opportunities and directly help build revenues from clients whose projects you manage.

     

    Primary responsibilities

    • Scope, define, estimate and manage budgets, scope of work, and planning schedules for digital projects.
    • Work with teams to define product specifications and functional requirements.
    • Assign and schedule tasks to reach project objectives.
    • Maintain detailed timelines, project plans and hours budgeted for all project deliverables and key milestones.
    • Organize knowledge database of each projects for easy retrieval of information.
    • Act as first line of communication with clients.
    • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects, including communication of client needs to team.
    • Lead project status meetings and updates with internal teams and clients.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and understand project priorities in context with the demands of the individual businesses.
    • Assist in managing internal resources, ensuring existing and new business projects are appropriately staffed.
    • Minimize exposure to risk on a project by identifying potential scope creep and working with internal teams to mitigate risk.
    • Manage and participate in testing and quality control for all deliverables.

     

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • A minimum of 3 years project management experience in digital communication or other relevant industry; agency, in-house or freelance is preferred.
    • Strong organisational skills and the capacity to work on multiple projects.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with designers, developers and clients.
    • Fluent written and verbal English. French and or German is a plus
    • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a sense of perspective.
    • Experience in scoping, budgeting, planning all kinds of digital projects.
    • Excellent and up-to-date knowledge of web technologies, design trends. Traditional print, graphic design and branding knowledge is a plus.
    • Experience with major CMS (e.g. Drupal, WordPress, Joomla, Umbraco, etc.)
    • A will to learn and succeed with a flexible outlook and plenty of initiative.
    • General understanding of design, front-end development and back-end development.
